National Son/Daughter Day

If you’ve been on social media anytime over the past week, you’ve probably seen posts about “National Daughter Day” and “National Son Day.” Families from all over the world have taken time to celebrate and honor their kids by posting pictures, stories, and cherished memories.

But days like these ones can bring about a number of different emotions within people:

Maybe you are a recent parent struggling through the early months and don’t feel as celebratory as you’d have hoped.

Maybe your kids are all grown up and your house suddenly feels empty.

Maybe you’ve been trying to get pregnant for months, even years, and nothing worked. All you want it to be able to celebrate a son or daughter.

Maybe you’ve been trying to adopt and have been a Waiting Family much longer than you expected.

No matter where you’re coming from, we see you and believe your story is important; because each child has a unique journey, and we’re in the business of helping write beautiful stories for every son and daughter.

Sweet moments of fatherhood concept, happy african father hold embrace cute little child daughter, smiling black family mixed race daddy and small kid hugging cuddling enjoying time together at home. Just this week, here at Choice, we were able to celebrate the adoption of a beautiful baby girl. Her birth mother is a courageous woman, who chose in love to give her daughter life. This is worth celebrating. Her adoptive parents were a Waiting Family who had endured patiently, hoping and praying for their future child, and now they get to love their new daughter. This is worth celebrating.

Every son and daughter’s story is unique, and they are stories still being written. No matter where you find yourself today, Choice is here for you. If you are experiencing a crisis pregnancy and want to know what your options are for your little son or daughter, we are here for you. If you are struggling to parent and worry that DHS will take your son or daughter away, we are here for you. If you are struggling with infertility or want to adopt, we are here for you. We work to make sure that every son and daughter has a story worth celebrating.
